More songs

At Thanksgiving, my daughter excused herself to use the potty.  Out 22 month old hosts were very intrigued, so they followed along.  This happens often, it is helping them to potty train, and we are good friends, so it was in no way weird.  This time, however, Little Elephant wanted her privacy so Dad escorted the twins away saying “She wants to tinkle alone so we need to let her tinkle.”  Thus, Little Elephant learned a new, yet important word: Tinkle.

For months, I have been trying to teach her to sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, but to no avail.  She loves Itsy Bitsy Spider, You are my sunshine, and recent Xmas hits…. but Twinkle, Twinkle never caught her attention.

In retrospect, she never liked the song because she did not understand it.  Now that she knows the song is about peeing stars, she can’t get enough of it!

TinkleTinkle, Little Star!

How I wonder what you are.

Up above the sky so high.

Like a diamond in the sky.

Tinkle, tinkle little star!

How I wonder what you are.

  1. Squeaker likes Itsy Bitsy Little Spider, too. She likes to mimic a spider climbing up. So far the spider has yet to come down. I’ll have to start with You Are My Sunshine.
