Continuing on with my tofu recipe theme from Tuesday, I give you my very first favorite tofu recipe. I liked these burgers before becoming vegetarian and before really being open-minded about tofu.
|1 pk (10.5-oz);||2 tb|
|1 cs; chopped||2 tb Nutritional|
|1/4 c Sunflower seeds||1/2 ts|
|1/4 cs; chopped||2 c|
- In a food processor or blender, puree tofu
- then add rest of ingredients except bread crumbs.
- Put bread crumbs into a bowl (I like to add fresh ground pepper) and pour tofu mixture over it.
- Mix well.
- Form into 8 burger patties and bake on a greased cookie sheet in a 350F oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
(Note: These can be grilled also!)
Serve on a burger bun with your favorite condiments.
NOTE: These can also be formed into smaller meat balls and served with spaghetti sauce over pasta.
