Photo Wednesday: Cerro Polanco

Cerro Polanco, originally uploaded by coming2cambodia.

Taken: August, 2007
Place: Cerro Polanco

I decided to put this photo up as I spent this morning touring the hill with people from the municipality and Senatur (the Department of Tourism in Chile) for work.

  1. Great colors! The buildings and steps seem like they’re just a part of the hill. It’s how I would imagine the architecture of Howard Roark from The Fountainhead. And, it has my Grandpa’s eye for color, which was a bit “unique.”

Are there many buildings painted with bright colors in Chile?

  2. Merry Christmas! Love the picture. Truly captures a unique architecture. Snow has melted here in STL, but it should be windy and cold. It must feel different celebrating in the heat of Summer.
