I hate that costumes of Halloween for women are generally sexy girl this or naught girl that. Halloween has come and gone. My daughter dressed up as a professional soccer player. She loved it. She was comfortable, happy and not a princess.
Women’s costumes are even worse than children’s. Today, while trolling the internet, I ran into a website for do-it-yourself “nerd” costumes and off-the-shelf “nerd” costumes. Growing up, I was a nerd, but I thought that these might be costumes that I would happily rock.
The men’s costumes and costume ideas were great. To my dismay, the women’s costumes were along the lines of “sexy girl nerd” and “naughty girl nerd”. Ugh!
This is one of the main reasons I dislike Halloween.
